I was in Burma recently and bought a lot of cheerots. They're small cigars. I've never smoked before, and cheerots seem a lot healthier than cigarettes or ordinary cigars. First of all, they're the size of cigarettes, so they don't have the huge amounts of tobacco that ordinary cigars have. Secondly, they're wrapped in a tamarind leaf rather than tobacco, and they're filtered. Thirdly, they're completely natural, natural filling, wrapped in a leaf, the filter is a dried corn husk and the glue is sticky rice. And finally, they have even less tobacco inside than most small cigarettes, each one has a different percentage, but the filling is a mixture of tobacco, bark, corn husk, tamarind leaves, dried fruits, roots and spices.
